Roberts Centennial All School Reunion & Community Celebration

Written by Community Foundation on . Posted in Uncategorised

Dear Roberts Classmates, Teachers and School Staff,

We are excited to announce the next all-class reunion for all those who attended and worked for Roberts Schools! The Roberts community has held school reunions every 10 years since 1983 – and since 2023 is the 100th anniversary of our school’s first graduating class, it’s the perfect time to celebrate again.

Roberts is truly unique among small towns. Those who came before us, as well as our generations, have built a community based on hard work, pride and friendship. That friendship and pride has put Roberts on the map more than once – for our philanthropy, scholastics, sports and honoring of veterans.

We hope you attend and enjoy all we’ve arranged for you!

The dates are Thursday, June 29-Sunday, July 2, 2023, and the events hold something for everyone and every age! The reunion plans include:

★ Plenty of time on Thursday and Friday for your own class or group to arrange for get-togethers
★ Art show featuring Roberts area artists (we boast a lot of artists and musicians)
★ School tours with fun facts and anecdotes
★ 3 on 3 basketball tournament with prizes and bragging rights
★ Community car show that includes trophies and admirers
★ Sound booth for recording oral histories (funny stories or good memories? You decide.)
★ Class and group photo opportunities on Friday & Saturday for your memories, Instagram and Facebook
★ Parade (you should be on a float!)
★ Ceremony honoring Roberts veterans, transferring of dog tags to families of deceased veterans and the Fallen Comrade Table Ceremony (always very moving)
★ Pancake breakfast
★ Prime Rib or Salmon dinner banquet and dance with live music by Exit 53 and child care with pizza and movies for the kiddos
★ Outdoor or Cowboy Church service
★ BBQ with live music from the beloved Alte Kameraden and face painting with Pippie the Clown
★ Corn Hole tournament with cash prizes and a chance to be a champion
★ Fundraising activities by students and student groups
★ And adjourning in time on Sunday for you to enjoy Family Night at the Red Lodge Rodeo!

The Roberts Community Foundation has tasked the Roberts Activities Committee, and Elta Ayre in particular, with creating an event that you’ll be glad you attended. Several interested alumni and school staff comprise the larger working group and have contributed wonderful ideas to make this a success. We’re holding your costs to a minimum, while reaching out to the corporate and business community to become reunion sponsors. Any net funds will be donated to the school for projects and improvements.

The registration form gives more details. Please complete it as soon as possible so our planning can be more precise.
